Nourish and National Farmers Union Scotland are co-sponsoring an independent panel of experts to come together and hear from witnesses about climate change and Scottish agriculture. The panel is drawn from academia, farmers and environmental NGOs to provide a plethora of different voices. The panel first met in June 2019 and will produce a report towards the end of 2020. This will have recommendations for policies and actions for Scottish farmers on how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture while producing the same or more food, protecting and enhancing Scotland’s biodiversity and it’s rural communities.
