On 16-17th June, The Power of Food Festival will return to Edinburgh for two days of celebration of community food growing.

Participating gardens are scattered all around the city and beyond; they include an old farmhouse, long-lost ancient castle grounds, internationally renowned gardens, previously unloved pieces of land, urban and rural crofts, and repurposed old industrial sites. They all have an interesting story to tell and flourish through the energy of the volunteers who breathe life into them. Often small and hidden away, sometimes large and familiar city landmarks, they will welcome you for various activities and entertainment – music and dance, storytelling and poetry-making, children activities, bioblitz with RSPB Scotland, and plenty of opportunities to share and enjoy food.

There will also be guided bike rides led by Sustrans Scotland and also part of Edinburgh Festival of Cycling. The rides are free but need to be booked in advance here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/power-of-food-festival-sustrans-guided-bike-rides-tickets-46225955076

Opening times vary – check the programme and plan your visit carefully.

Entry to the gardens and all Festival activities are free (food may invite a donation), and all are welcome to attend.
